Transportation Dept. Personnel Alerted in Kartini Underpass

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. has alerted about four personnel in the Kartini Underpass, Lebak Bulus. It is done to direct motorists when passing through the newly inaugurated underpass on Wednesday (2/28) yesterday.

Edy Sufa'at, Section Head of Operational Control disclosed, after the underpass is operated, traffic light would be deactivated. Thus there is a change in traffic patterns in the area.

"We have sent four personnel to direct motorists," he expressed, Thursday (3/1).

Kartini Underpass Decreases 90 Percent Vehicle Queue

In the field, those personnel will be on standby for the next week. It is hoped to help motorists who still feel confused when passing under the underpass.

"They will be on standby for a week," he told.

After it is inaugurated, vehicle from the north that will lead to south must go through the underpass. While vehicle heading to the east can use the existing lane.

"Before inauguration, underpass has been trialed at least more than one week," he said.
